Ideal Applications and Intended Use

The MONOR 1490 is an ideal laser system for craftsmen, sign makers, decoration manufacturers and small-scale production workshops. Its large 1400 × 900 mm working area allows processing of larger materials and oversized parts, while the powerful 130W CO₂ laser tube delivers high cutting speeds together with precise engraving, even on fine details. The machine is designed for reliable everyday operation while remaining easy to use, even for users without previous laser experience.

130W CO₂ Laser Tube with Real Output Power

At the core of the machine is a high-quality CO₂ laser tube with an initial peak output of approximately 148W, which naturally stabilizes to a true continuous 130W output throughout its service life.

For us, “130W” means real long-term working power — not just a short peak value measured on a brand-new tube.

It is important to note that some sellers label 100W tubes as “130W” because their temporary peak output may briefly reach around 129W. In practice, however, these are still 100W-class tubes.

The MONOR 1490 combines genuine 130W performance with a large 1400 × 900 mm working area, making it ideal for clean cutting and precise engraving, even on thicker materials.

Knife Blade and Honeycomb Working Table

The MONOR 1490 is equipped with two working tables for maximum flexibility:

Knife Blade Table

Designed for clean cutting of harder materials without burn marks on the underside of the cut.

Honeycomb Table 

Ideal for cutting small parts that could otherwise fall through the working table during processing.

Both tables can be easily exchanged depending on the application and material type.

Dual Electronically Controlled Exhaust System

The machine is equipped with two exhaust fans for highly efficient removal of smoke and fumes from the working area. Both fans are electronically controlled — they automatically start when the job begins and continue running for several seconds after the job is completed thanks to an adjustable delay timer (1–60 seconds). This ensures effective extraction of remaining fumes while also helping protect the machine optics and internal components.

Autofocus and Height-Adjustable Z-Axis Table

The autofocus system automatically sets the correct lens height for each material, ensuring precise focusing and consistent cutting or engraving quality.


Combined with the height-adjustable Z-axis table, the machine can also process thicker materials and cylindrical objects when using a rotary attachment.

Geared Servo Motors and Enclosed Linear Guide System

The MONOR 1490 is equipped with geared servo motors that provide smoother motion and higher positioning accuracy, even during rapid direction changes.

Thanks to the geared drive system, motor load is reduced, service life is extended and vibrations that could affect cutting quality are minimized.

The motion axes are built with modular enclosed linear guides that protect the mechanical system from dust, fumes and debris.

This solution minimizes maintenance requirements, reduces friction and ensures long-term precision, smooth movement and quiet operation even during intensive daily use.

Compact Design and Removable Legs

The MONOR 1490 is designed with practical dimensions and easy handling in mind. If needed, the machine legs can be removed, reducing the overall machine height to approximately 72 cm. This allows the machine to be carefully tilted and transported through narrow doorways or confined spaces without difficulty — an ideal solution for smaller workshops, studios or office environments.

Electronically Controlled Air Assist

The Air Assist system directs compressed air precisely into the cutting area, helping remove smoke and debris while improving both cutting quality and processing speed. Unlike conventional systems, the MONOR 1490 features electronically controlled Air Assist that automatically switches on or off depending on the active job. For example, the system activates during cutting operations and remains disabled during engraving to preserve fine details and engraving quality. This also helps extend lens lifetime and reduces the need for frequent optical cleaning.

Built-In Ammeter for Laser Power Monitoring

The MONOR 1490 is equipped with an integrated ammeter that displays the current flowing through the laser tube in real time.
This allows you to monitor the actual laser output and better track the condition and wear of the laser tube over time.
With the built-in ammeter, you can easily optimize power settings for different materials, prevent laser overloading and help extend the overall lifetime of the laser tube.
It is a subtle but highly important feature that clearly separates professional laser systems from lower-end hobby machines.
